I Was Possessed

The brisk and windy autumn day lifted the leaves into the air signifying that Halloween was only a few days away. The leaves swirled and formed what looked like arms and hands reaching towards the stars. I pulled my jacket a little closer around my neck as we continued walking to church with only the moon lighting the night. Continue reading

Why Is My Teenager Angry

“Caleb it’s time to take out the trash.” The fight following that simple request was like a tornado ramming into the house and taking off the roof. Screams erupted and before I could back out of his room we were in a shouting match over a chore that would have taken less than two minutes if he had just paused his game long enough to get it done. Continue reading

The Ultimate Test

Finally believing they had enough sun they began the task of ripping off one side of the roof in preparation to shingle. By the time the last rotted pieces were cast to the ground a powerful rain cloud appeared leading to a torrential down pour of rain. Rich and Alex immediately put plastic on the open roof but the rain was so strong that it tore through the plastic and flooded the house. By evening plaster from the ceiling in the garage was falling down. Continue reading

Does God Allow Child Abuse

Father, Can I Please Come Home

When the people in the synagogue heard this, they were filled with anger. They rose up, dragged Jesus out of town, and took him to the top of the hill on which their town was built. They meant to throw him over the cliff, but He walked through the middle of the crowd and went his way.” Continue reading

Why Christians need to be Teachable

Recently I wrote a book claiming that homosexuals were made by God. It was not a surprise when many religious book reviewers picked up my book and refused to believe what I wrote about God supernaturally intervening on my side, was true! Continue reading

The War of the Gods

Now the battlegrounds were set. It was Satan’s children against Jesus Christ’s followers. It was the battle of the gods. Continue reading

One Step Away From Homelessness

The dog was wrapped in a dirty plaid doggy coat and the man wore a coat that looked weathered from the outdoors. It hurt me to see them standing there together begging in the cold. I wish I had a job to give this man. Continue reading
